-Is there a racket going on within the prison?
-Is a big crime being planned in the prison?
In yet another raid in the Central Jail, Udaipur, police recovered one more mobile from an under-trial prisoner. The raid went for around 2 ½ hours headed by ASP Gopal Swaroop Mewara. 150 police employees searched through the prisoners but the mobile that was found did not have any SIM card.
The raid team was formed after police got information about mobile phones being operated in the jail, as informed by SP Kailash Chandra Bishnoi. The teams entered the jail around 3:30 p.m. and searched all the barracks until 6 p.m. The mobile recovered from the prisoner was a basic key-pad mobile.
Usually, the jails are raided once a year as per the directives of police headquarters. The first raid was done on 17th September on the Collector’s orders. Police had recovered mobile and SIM card from a prisoner. The 2nd raid within 2 months is raising a lot of questions.
Is some big crime about to happen? Is a big racket being operated from within the jail? Last year police had recovered 14 mobile phones from the prisoners in the raid. The 2 raids this year are obviously questionable. Hoping that the situations are handled on time and nothing disastrous happens...
