A second year engineering student studying at SS Engineering college, Umarda committed suicide by hanging himself.

As per Hiranmagri Police Station, the deceased has been identified as Pawan Kumar (21). He was a resident of Bhilwara and currently staying in a rented accommodation in Umarda. He was a second year student at SS Engineering college, Udaipur.

ASI Bhanwar Singh informed that Pawan was staying along with one of his friend in the room. At 11 am in the morning, Pawan’s roommate left the room for going to college. At that time, Pawan was in his room only.

In parallel, Pawan’s father had come to Udaipur for checkup in a hospital. After going to the hospital, Pawan’s father went to his son’s room to meet him. Despite continuous knocking on the door, there was no response. When the father went and peeked through the window, he was in for the shock of his life when he saw Pawan hanging from the ceiling.

The neighbours and Police rushed to the scene. By the time the door was opened and Pawan brought down, he had already lost his life. It seems that he hanged himself in the time duration of 11 am to 1 pm.

There was no suicide note left behind. Police is now looking at his call record to investigate the reason behind his suicide.
