Continuing the drive against illegal licenses, Udaipur police nabbed 3 people on Sunday for illegal arm licenses. These licenses were issued using forged documents from Nagaland.

Continuing the drive against illegal licenses, Udaipur police nabbed 3 people on Sunday for illegal arm licenses. These licenses were issued using forged documents from Nagaland.

SP Rajendra Goyal said that they had been receiving multiple tip-offs in this regard and that heavy amount was being charged from clients for these licences. Acting on this, a special task force with CI Chandmal Singharia, Shaitan Singh and Dr Hanuwant Singh Bhati was constituted. Preliminary investigations reveal that licenses were issued from Dimapur and Zunheboto districts in Nagaland.

Acting on the tip-off, cops arrested a liqour contractor from Chitrakoot nagar, Vijay Choubisa for illegal possession of revolver and bullets. On interrogation, he revealed names of a marble businessman from Jaipur, Dharamveer and one Bhanwarlal Ojha from Bikaner who was residing in Dimapur. Choubisa said that he paid Rs 3 Lakh to get the license from Nagaland.

Polic recovered, 11 fire arms and 110 bullets along with the fake licenses from the accused.

Goyal said that a large racked is suspected to be involved in this and more arrests could follow. The arrests revealed over 500 people in Rajasthan could be possessing these licenses and some of them are habitual offenders and hard core criminals. Investigations are currently also on to understand the role of Government officials at Dimapur Collectorate.
