Land mafia has been one of the major points of concern in Udaipur. A lot of people have suffered at the hands of land mafia and have fallen into trouble. One more case came into light recently.

Surajpole police arrested 3 people involved in a case of property fraud. The accused sold a property worth 15 crores in mere 2 crores. The agricultural property was sold to Vijay Sahu by means of fake power of attorney and sale deed. The case came to light when the victim went for having the property registered. Lalit Dangi from Savina Kheda, Roshan Lal from Eklingpura and Prem Singh from Debari have been arrested in this case.

As reported by Onkar Lal of Bhuwana in the month of March, the property sold actually belongs to him. The land measures around 1.66 hectares in Roopnagar and it is an agricultural land. He stated that the above 3 accused prepared fake power of attorney and sale deed and sold the property to someone.

Police said that the 3 accused men have been involved in many property cases and are one of the land-mafia groups operating in Udaipur. They target expensive properties in the city and around. The plan was mainly chalked out by Prem Singh, Dinesh Nath, Roshan Lal, Narayan Lal, Pappu Dangi, Pradeep and Prem Singh Devda. They created fake documents in the name of Roshan Dangi. The worth of the property is actually 15 crores but they sold it to Vijay Sahu for just 2 crores. When the affected party went for having the property registered, the process could not begin since as per the new rules registration cannot be done on the basis of power of attorney. This is how the victim learnt that he has been cheated. The case was then handled by police and the accused were arrested. They even confessed to having created fake documents and have more than a dozen cases on their head in matters of property fraud.
