3 people have been arrested in a case of sex-determination. One of the arrested persons is an Ayurveda doctor and the other 2 are his agents. PCPNDT cell was constantly getting information about sex-determination activities in Ahmedabad.

A decoy operation was conducted in which a decoy pregnant female was sent to the hospital with the demanded amount of 25000 rupees. The decoy female reached Ahmedabad via Kherwada-Bichiwada and Himmatnagar route where she was met by agent Raju. Raju took her to Dr. Yogi poly clinic in Maninagar. Ayurveda Doctor Gorang who was present at the clinic sent the decoy female to sonography centre with compounder Mukesh. After this Raju and Mukesh created fake information of the child’s gender and gave the report to the decoy female.

At this very instant, decoy team arrested the culprits. The amount was also recovered from them as is. It may be noted that PCPNDT cell has conducted more than a 100 such decoy operations to unveil these kind of activities. The team comprised of Sandeep Sharma from Pratapgarh PCPNDT cell, Manisha Bhatnagar of Udaipur team and Kapil Bharadwaj from Rajsamand team.
