When we did the first news of chain snatching at Ashok Nagar today morning, little did we know that there were two other chain snatching incidences that took place in that 2 hour window in the morning. Spreading terror in the city, chain snatchers successfully managed to snatch 3 chains in 3 different areas of the city today morning.

The first case happened around 8 am in Sector 11 when a senior citizen Shanta Devi was going to the temple. Two rogues came from behind on a bike and fled off after snatching a 3 tola chain from neck.

In the second incident, at around 8:15 am, two rogues again targeted a senior citizen lady at Ashok Nagar. The victim was returning from a temple in Shakti Nagar when the duo stopped their bike, ran towards her, pushed her to the ground and fled off with her chain.

The third incident happened at Moti Magri scheme. Kanta Patidar was standing outside her house when miscreants came and snatched the chain right outside her house and fled away.

Police was informed in all the cases and police set-up check-posts throughout the city to nab the miscreants. Police is however yet to get any clue and is continuing its investigation.

For a small town that Udaipur is, there have been way too many incidences of daylight robbery, theft, firings and murders in the past few days.
