3 children working in Chetak Circle situated Swaad restaurant were rescued by Hathipole Police station team and were presented to Bal Kalyan Samiti from where they were sent to shelter home for rehabilitation. Restaurant owner was arrested and a case booked against him.

Bal Kalyan Samiti received a tip-off about children being employed at Swaad restaurant for daily chores. Post this an emergency meeting of members of Bal Kalyan Samiti was called. Samiti Director Rajkumari Bhargava and other members carried out planning for a special operation to rescue the children. Child Line coordinator Naveneet Vyas was sent to the location to assess the situation. Post that members of Child Line team reached the spot and rescued the children. Hathipole Police Station team was subsequently called to the location.

Restaurant owner Vinod s/o Rajendra Park was arrested and a case booked against him under section 75.

After rescuing the children, they were presented in front of the justice committee of Bal Kalyan Samiti. The 5 member committee then handed over the children to Ashram Vikas Sansthan for rehabilitation.

The kids informed that they were offered Rs 4000 to Rs 5000 salary per month for working over 12 hours in the restaurant.
