Netrapal Singh, CI at the Sukher Police station said that this information was recieved through an informant. The police raided flat no. 503 in block A of Eden Court complex. Those arrested in the illegal betting are Pankaj, 30, Akola; Dharmendra, 30, Patapnagar and Kishore, 44, resident of Bhilwara.

Pankaj has earlier been arrested in such cases as well. Police are investigated the call details in the mobile phones recovered from the accused to reach those who have been involved in the illegal betting gig being run by Pankaj and his team.  What needs to be now seen is the kind of punishment accorded to the accused once they are proven guilty.  Will this punishment abate such incidents, or will it be just another news in the spate of incidents in the city.

The inaugural edition of the Afghan Premier League is taking place in Sharjah from 5-23 October, where 40 overseas players are also included.  The league team consists of some big names from the T20 International circuit, viz. Chris Gayla, Brendon McCullum, Mitchell McClenaghan, Rashid Khan, Soumya Sarkar, Andre Russell, Shahid Afridi, Sunil Naraine, Dwayne Bravo among others.

All this happened in Udaipur last evening, just as Danish Kaneria, former Pakistan leg spinner confessed in an interview to Al Jazeerai of his involvement in the spot fixing scandal that had rocked English county in 2009.  Danish is already serving a ban imposed on him earlier.
