43 Child Labourers Resuced from Factory

A unit of Anti Human Trafficking has raided a factory at Gariawas and freed 78 child labourers. More than 43 children were found below 14 years of age. The operation is believed to be the biggest of its kind till now.

 

A unit of Anti Human Trafficking has raided a factory at Gariawas and freed 78 child labourers. More than 43 children were found below 14 years of age. The operation is believed to be the biggest of its kind till now.

43 Child Labourers Resuced from Factory

Kailash Chandra, Chief Police Officer of special unit (Illegal Human traffic) said that,”We were informed several times about such illegal activities going around the area. Following the information we received today when we raided the factory in the area 78 children were found working there.”

Kaluram Rawat, Additional Superintendent of Police (Headquarter) with Labour Officer, Sawant Singh also reached the spot. As per the sources, there 78 children were employed in factory of which 43 children were between age of 5-14 years and 35 other children were not getting their minimum pay.

All children belong to states of U.P and Bihar and they are staying in nearby areas with their parents who have migrated to Udaipur for small jobs.

After inspection these children will be produced in front of Child Welfare Committee.
