9 members of a theft racket have been arrested by Surajpole police. The 9-member gang is involved in inter-state theft and 7 tolas of gold, 1 kg of silver and 50,000 rupees have been recovered from them.They have confessed that they have committed several thefts in Rajasthan, Karnataka, Tamilnadu and Delhi.

In the thefts committed last year, police had checked the CCTV footages and traced the phone calls of these thieves after which 3 of them were arrested from Ajmer and Bhilwara.

The arrested thieves then revealed the names of their accomplices and said that they had committed thefts worth more than a crore which included jewellery and cash. 

As per investigations, these thieves used to target posh colonies in broad daylight. After spotting lone houses, 2 of them would stay out on guard and the others used to commit the crime. Post their work, they used to board the 1st available mode of transport and shift to another city or state. A person who bought the stolen goods from these thieves has also been arrested.
