In another usual instance of an ex-employee (insider) being responsible for theft, a shop owner Amit Jain has accused his ex-employee Rakesh Meghwal of theft from his godown.

As per information received from the Savina Police Station, Amit Jain, s/o Bhojraj Jain has lodged a complaints with the police, accusing his ex-employee of theft from his shop.  In the report Amit has explained that it was coming to notice that inventory was being siphoned off from the physical count since a few months.  In January 2022, Amit had terminated the services of one of his shops employees Rakesh Meghwal, no suspicion of theft from the shop.  Ever since then, despite Rakesh no longer working in the shop, the instances of inventory depletion continued.

One day, Amit reached his shop early morning, in non-working hours. There he confronted Rakesh, who was coming out from the shop godown, with a few items in his hand. On being caught red handed, Amit lodged a complaint with the police and accused him of stealing Rs 6.4 lac worth of inventory from the godown. Rakesh, while working at the godown, had got a duplicate key made, using which he used to open the godown and siphone off the items.  These items were being sold to another competitor shop M/s Ashapura Sanitary and Hardware, which is located at Balicha. Police is investigating the matter further.
