Ab Tak Chappan – SP declares signature is forged

The erstwhile SP of Udaipur, Hari Prasad Sharma has denied having signed the allotment of the 56 quarters that have been found to be allotted fraudulently.

In the ongoing assessment and investigation of the involvement of a Constable and a Clerk in the fraudulent allotment of 56 accommodation units to Police personnel in Udaipur, the people in the allotment procedure chain are being seen taking their hands off the process, passing on the mantle to each other.  Where the Constable is saying that the erstwhile SP Hari Prasad Sharma (now DIG) was responsible and had signed the order, the SP says that his signatures have been forged on the allotment orders, asking for an investigation.  Hari Prasad Sharma said that the day on which the orders were passed, he had been travelling to Jaipur.

Devedra Puri, the Constable who was looking after the allotment and the main accused under interrogation, said that the present SP is authorized to say anything on the matter.  SP Rajendra Prasad Goyal, however, on being asked about the allotment had nothing much to say, except that the procedure needs to be made stronger and fool proof.

Further, it has also been discovered that more than 14 quarters have additionally been allotted over the last 3 years.
