The team of Anti Corruption Bureau confiscated a huge amount of Rs. 4.19 Lac from an excise inspector near the Gangrar toll plaza on the Chittorgarg-Bhilwara road.

The money was reportedly a part of the monthly ‘bandi’ from some liquor contractors which the inspector was taking home. The ACB had received various complaints against the excise inspector, Chetan Lal, resident of Kekri, Ajmer who is presently posted at Pratapgarh district.

After the confirmation of news on Saturday about the bulk amount being transported by the excise officer in his car, ACB team led by additional SP Brijesh Soni, Deputy SP Rajeev Joshi and CI Virendra Singh did a sudden check on Lal at the highway and found with Rs. 4.13 Lac in his possession.

Sources claimed that the money has been confiscated and reported to the headquarters and the inspector received notice seeking explanation over the amount found with him. A case would be registered accordingly later.
