ACB Officials busy unearthing information as IAS Officer reads books in Jail

Suspended Top Honchos of the Mines department, Pankaj Gehlot and Pushkar Raj Ameta, Senior IAS Ashok Singhvi along with middle men Sanjay Sethi and Rashid Khan have spent approximately 48 gloomy hours in Udaipur Central Jail following their Judicial Custody.

Though Singhvi looked poised and lost in retrospect probably, Gehlot found refuge in the Bhagwad Gita, which he had bought with him a day ago.

All the above have logged the lime light with Mine top shot Sher Khan and his CA Shyam Singhvi over more than a week now, following the ACB heist, which is termed to be the biggest and getting hold of one of the senior rank holders in the government bureaucracy.

The inmates have ate, slept and behaved normally in jail, though their behavior has mellowed down considerably and they have become meek, quiet contrary to the towering positions they held in the outer world – following their current stint in Jail, as the ACB has been busy in unearthing their alleged malpractices in the mine graft case.

On being asked by the Jail Administration as to any specific needs, Singhvi asked for a few books to be sent to him from home and Gehlot took to the Bhagwad Gita to spend time.  The Jail authorities have also been very careful on the security of all of the inmates named above, including Sher Khan, and specially Singhvi.  Accordingly, all of them have been kept in separate cells so that any confrontation among them is avoided.

As per Jail Superintendent Preeta Bhargava, all demands related to diet and requirements made by the counsels of the inmates have been adhered to as per the Jail manual.
