Anti Corruption Bureau raided the residence of Electricity department’s SE. To their shock undeclared assests worth 20 crore rupees were found in this raid. His wife has also been held party in the crime. The ACB also raided various other places like Bundi and Jaipur and seized a lot of documents and lockers belonging to other officials as well.

The raid in Udaipur shocked the ACB team as the SE of Electricity department had undeclared assets worth 20 crore rupees whereas his salary is 12 lakh rupees per annum. SE Girish Joshi lives in Ashirwad nagar and owns 5 more properties in different places. His son is studying in Michigan where the fee for 2 semesters is 37 lakh rupees as found out through the website of that particular university.

After getting the search warrant from the court, the team of ACB took action on Friday against Girish Joshi. They reached his residence in Ashirwad nagar, knocked at his door and the moment the door was opened the team started conducting the raid. In the search, the ACB team found documents of various properties in Shobhagpura. The documents revealed that Joshi has a boutique shop in a commercial premise and some other shop as well. Some of the team members were immediately sent to check on these properties. A team was also sent to the office at Patel Circle.

Documents related to properties in Nathdwara and Rajsamand were also found. ACB teams found a lot of cash as well. The team informed that they had received information about the SE and they had started their preliminary checks before the raid. When the team learnt of his undeclared assets, they conducted the raid. Some of the properties are in the name of SE’s wife, hence a case has been registered against her, too.

  • Commercial land measuring 2000 sft. in Shobhagpura
  • 4 bigha agricultural land in Kundal village
  • 9 bigha agricultural land in Badgaon
  • Residence in Ashirwad nagar at 2600 sft
  • 6896 sft agricultural land in Shobhagpura
  • Documents related to unnamed land worth 50 lakh rupees
  • 3.14 hectare of land in Selu village under Iswal
  • 25 lakh rupees in bank account
  • Keys of locker in Canara bank in Madhuban
  • 23 various bank accounts in the names of family members including himself in SBI, Union Bank, ICICI, Canara Bank, Cooperative bank and post office account as well
  • Documents related to LIC and mutual funds
