Arjun Lal Meena, Member of Parliament from Udaipur and a member of the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) called a Press Conference on Wednesday to present the achievements that he and his party have made during their tenure till date.

The conference, which consisted of members of the BJP and members of the Press, concluded with packets of food and Rs 500 (in sealed envelopes) being distributed to the Press.  Many reporters refused to take the envelopes, which bore the seal of the MP.

Meena, on being asked to explain the development, said that he had left for Banswara just after the conference and his PA had distributed the envelopes and food packets to the Press members.  Since the incident occurred after he had left, he washed his hands off the development.
