Accused in Goverdhan Vilas murder case arrested
Accused in Rakesh Khatwani's murder arrested while the contract killer is yet to be found.
The main accused in murder case at Goverdhan Vilas has been arrested by the police.
Rakesh Khatwani, a cloth merchant, was shot dead just 500 metres away from the Saras milk parlour in Goverdhan Vilas. The main culprit in this case had hired a contract killer from Uttar Pradesh to murder Khatwani. The culprit is a merchant sabji mandi. Search is on for the contract killer.
Police have not yet revealed the identity of the merchant. As per police reports, Rakesh Khatwani had lent one lakh rupees to this merchant. An argument took place between Rakesh and this merchant almost a month back regarding this amount. Reportedly, the merchant planned Rakesh’s murder after the argument.
This merchant hired a contract killer from Uttar Pradesh. On the night of murder, the merchant went to meet Rakesh along with this contract killer. After meeting Rakesh, the contract killer shot him then and there and both the killer and merchant ran away from the spot. Police arrested the merchant and are now searching for this contract killer.
Rakesh Khatwani resident of J block in Hiranmagri sector 14 left home after dinner on Friday night but did not return home. Saturday morning his body was found near Saras milk parlour in Goverdhan Vilas near Hotel Kingfisher. Rakesh’s active scooter was found lying near his body. People from the nearby area and hotel staff are also being interrogated.
