A married woman faced acid attack since she denied a marriage proposal. The woman is mother of 5 kids. Kalu Parmar was constantly pressurising this married woman for marriage. She refused to accept his proposal as a result of which he threw acid on her while she was asleep late night.

The victim, a mother of 5, was sleeping at her parents’ home in Dungarpur when acid was thrown on her face past midnight. The womans’s father heard her yelling and noticed that she had been burnt. He saw a man running out of his house and followed him. By this time, neighbours also came in and rushed the woman to hospital. The attacker had managed to escape in the meantime. The woman received 25 percent burns and was referred to MB hospital in Udaipur.

As per the woman’s statements, Kalu Parmar was pressurising her for marriage. She had refused his proposal which agitated him to this extent. Police have arrested Kalu based on the woman’s report.
