In an interesting crackdown a gang of car thieves have been caught with the help of a victim whose own car was stolen from Town Hall at Diwali Mela going on at Nagar Parishad.

Following a raid at a garage, S.S Car Care at Hiran Magri, city police has arrested three members of the gang and found three vehicles that were stolen from various places of the city in the last few days.

Rajkumar Jain, whose car Maruti Van was stolen from Town Hall on Oct 24, deserves all the credit for this success as he not only registered a complaint at Surajpol Police on the same day but also started searching his lost vehicle by his own sources.

After a few days of self investigation, Rajkumar came to know that his vehicle is located at one of the garage at Hiran Magri and after informing the police he reached that garage where he identified his car.

According to the sources, police raided the garage while Rajkumar Jain had scuffled with one of the car theft suspect who was working as a mechanic there.

Police has arrested three people viz. Ganesh Salvi, Shoib Alam and Dinesh Jain under theft charges, 4 vehicles which include 3 maruti vans and 1 alto car with 16 fake number plates have been seized by the police.
