Another horrifying incident of rape of a minor girl aged 11 years has been registered at Ambamata Police station in Udaipur. The case was registered  by the elder sister of the victim, and the two accused aged 13 and 25 years are cousin brothers of the victim, as per Dy SP Chetna Bhati, who is the Investigating Officer in this case.

DSP Chetna Bhati said that as per the report, the victim was staying at  her aunts house as her own mother was hospitalised.  During her stay there, two of her cousins aged 13 and 25 raped her. It has also been mentioned in the report that two other relatives also sexually assaulted her and threatened her. After coming back to her house, when the  victims family members noted excessive bleeding, they took her to hospital for treatment. The victim narrated her ordeal when she was asked by doctors as to the reason of the bleeding. 

Subsequent to the medical examination of the victim, a case has been booked under Sections 3/4 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and various other sections of Indian Penal Code (IPC) including Section 376 D (Punishment for Gang Rape) and the investigation is underway, said Deputy SP Bhati.

In another similar incident that took place at Dungarpur district, a 16 year old girl has been raped by her classmate on 6 June while she was returning back to her house from the market. Earlier, another minor girl was raped by her own father at Bhichiwara village of the district on 29 May. The accused father raped the victim at an isolated place while returning back to house after attending a wedding ceremony held at a nearby village.
