Three accused along with the gang leader have been arrested by Rajsamand police for stealing the water motors in the area. The gang was arrested along with a stolen car for which they are being thoroughly interrogated in the hope of more information of robbery.

SP Dr. Vishnukant said that a team was formed to tackle the theft issue.  It was headed by DSP Kumbhalgarh Chandan Singh Mahecha with SHO Bharat Yogi, ASI Laxman Singh, Head Constable Jaswant Singh, Devinath, Anil, Vijay, Suresh, Ashok and Sunil.

Investigations were started while keeping a track of the suspects.  On interrogation, Kailash (19) s/o Mohanlal Nayak, Dalu (19) s/o Mulchand Nayak and Devilal (20) s/o Pannalal Nayak were arrested when they tried to deceive the police but came up with facts when police adopted to strict interrogation.

The gang, along with leader Kailash were arrested and gave details of more than a dozen thefts of water motors in Kelwa, Rajsamand and Bhilwara districts.  All the stolen motors are now in police custody along with the stolen car that was used in these robberies.

A recce in the afternoon was followed by theft the same night – the modus operandi.  One successful theft led to another where they would go to the well, steal the motor and speed away in the car.
