The website of Animal Aid Unlimited (www.animalaidunlimited.com), an NGO working for sick and disabled stray animals, was hacked by unknown alleged Pakistani hackers.

It was retrieved by the organization today afternoon.

The site was reportedly under attack for past 3-4 days but today there appeared an animated flag of Pakistan with a scrolling extremists’ message.

According to web experts, it could be a work done by newbie hackers just for fun.

Claire Abrams, founder of Animal Aid situated at Badi, Udaipur, while talking to UT confirmed that their site was under attack by hackers and would be retrieved soon. “Our developers are working to get it back”, said Claire.

Animal Aid is home for dozens of stray animals which include dogs, cows, donkeys and pigs. For years, the organization has been working on stray animals and also indulges in social service activities in Udaipur.

According to Claire, no police complaint has yet been made regarding the hacking attack.

UPDATE 4:30PM: The site is back and all data is safely retrieved
