There has been yet another robbery in town. Jewellery worth 7 lakh rupees has been taken away by the robbers from Hiranmagri Sector 7.

The city seems to be an easy catch these days for robbers. Every day we get to hear of robberies happening in town. And it is not just about locked premises or premises with old and aged, it is happening everywhere. Robbers have no fear.

Thursday afternoon, house of a businessman dealing in exports became the target of robbers. These robbers went to export dealer Anshul Dwivedi’s house in a car. Anshul Dwivedi had gone out for some important work with his family. The house was locked. Anshul Dwivedi’s residence is near Bheru ji temple in Sector 7 in Hiranmagri area. Two young men who came in a Santro car jumped over the boundary wall around 1 p.m. They broke open locks of the main gate and entered the house. Upon entering the house they broke the lock of Dwivedi’s bedroom and took out 250 grams of gold jewellery worth 7 lakh rupees from the chest.

The entire activity of the robbers got recorded in the CCTV camera. The faces of these young robbers are easily seen in the CCTV footage which has been handed over to the police for investigation. Police have registered a case and search operation has started against these two young robbers.

Though nothing has been commented yet on the robbers, there is a probability that the robbers are known to the family else how would they have known about the jewellery and the chest in the bedroom? Since they committed the crime when the family members were not at home, the robbers are sure to know details of the family. They could be acquaintances of the family; else they were only waiting for an opportunity to rob considering finding enough wealth in the house of an exporter.
