Court rejected the interim bail plea of accused Rajendra (alias Raju) Sharma in the Austrian tourist molestation case. This is the second incident of his bail plea being rejected after it was earlier also rejected on Tuesday.

Court rejected the interim bail plea of accused Rajendra (alias Raju) Sharma in the Austrian tourist molestation case. This is the second incident of his bail plea being rejected after it was earlier also rejected on Tuesday.

Readers may note that in an incident that put Udaipur to International shame, a massage parlour owner was accused of molestation by an Austrian tourist. The incident happened on 25 March.

Police had immediately arrested the accused on lodging of the report by the Austrian tourist. The tourist had alleged that she was molested when she had gone to ask rates for accupressure and massage therapy at Bharti Parlour situated at Bheem Parmeshwar Marg in the outside Chandpole area.

Police had presented the chargesheet within 20 hours of the incident reporting. Court has registered the forest tourist’s statement under section 164. Police had shown promptness in getting the chargesheet filed so as to facilitate the hearing while the foreign tourist is here and she does not have to come back.
