The three suspected attackers involved in the firing at BJP Leader Motilal Dangi have confessed to the crime during police interrogation and have also revealed the name of the prime conspirator as Azam Khan, who assigned them the contract to kill Motilal Dangi.

Udaipur police have revealed this vital information to the media today in the much talked about shooting incident at BJP leader Motilal Dangi on 15^th June. Since then three people, Imranduddin, Zaheer Ahmed and Shehzad Ahmed have been arrested by Gujarat’s Crime Branch on 27^th June and handed over to their counterparts in Udaipur Police.

According to police, the three suspected men confessed to the crime committed in the morning hours of Friday, 15^th June and also disclosed the name of one more suspected assailant, Danish.

“Shehzad alias Chini was the motorcyclist while Danish and Zaheer Ahmed were the pillion riders who fired at Dangi. Danish fired from the front while Zaheer shot on the back of Dangi’s car,” said one of the Police officers investigating the incident.

“They did this under the instructions of Azam Khan who is absconding,” said the officer. Azam is also one of the key witnesses of the Sohrabuddin – Tulsi Prajapati fake encounter case.

The officer also added, “We are soon going to find out the vehicle and firearms used in the crime but cannot disclose more information regarding this.”
