An occasion of happiness turned into sudden tragedy when the family of bride realised that a bag containing the bride’s jewellery had been stolen from the marriage garden. The incident happened on Friday at the Karni Palace marriage garden situated on Sukhadia Circle-Fatehpura road.

As per Police, the Jain family had organised lunch as part of the marriage function on Friday afternoon. During the lunch, all family members were involved in welcoming and interacting with the guests. The bride’s family was carrying the jewellery bag with them wherever they were going. During the lunch, the bride family was moving from one table to the other and keeping the bag on the table/chair. In probably a moment of loss of surveillance, the bag was frisked away by a female stranger.

When the bride’s family realised that the bag was missing, they immediately rushed to Ambamata Police station. On information, ASP Swati Sharma, SHO Chenaram reached the marriage garden. On checking the CCTV footage, they found a lady rushing out with the bag. Police has however been unable to ascertain identity of the lady and is yet to find her.
