In a case of daylight robbery, 2 bikers snatched away a bag containing a saree and Rs 1.5 Lakh from a lady in Ashok Nagar. The incident happened at Hanuman Gali in Ashok Nagar.

As per the details received, the incident happened at around 11:15 am on Friday morning. 2 men on a bike came from behind the lady and snatched her bag after pushing her on the road. The lady fell as a result of the push and sustained back injuries.

The victim, Deepti Gokhru, a resident of Ashok Nagar lodged a complaint with Bhupalpura Police station. She daily goes for a walk from 10 am to 11 am. Yesterday, Deepti was carrying the cash that a businessman from Ajmer had sent to be given to another businessman in Udaipur. Deepti identified the victims as being in the age bracket of 25 to 30 years.

Police started the investigation by looking at the CCTV footage in the nearby area but was yet to make any inroads. Residents in the area complained to Police that thefts have become common in the area with a bike and 3 gas cylinders having been stolen in recent past.
