Bhupalpura | Four arrested trying to circulate fake currency notes
With help from a special team, Bhupalpura Police Station team nabbed four people in a car with fake currency worth Rs 63400/-. The arrested people said that they had started printing fake currency after the main accused went bust in his business.
With help from a special team, Bhupalpura Police Station team nabbed four people in a car with fake currency worth Rs 63400/-. The arrested people said that they had started printing fake currency after the main accused went bust in his business.
The accused said that they learnt the trick to print fake currency note by watching video on Youtube. They then used a colour printer for printing these notes. The accused were nabbed while trying to circulate the currency in the market. Police recovered 373 notes of Rs 100, Rs 500 and Rs 2000 denomination.
SP Kunwar Rashtradeep said that Special team received a tip-off from an informer that four people in a car were trying to circulate fake currency at Shastri Circle. At this, a team under CI Goverdhan Bhati and Harendra Singh Sauda trapped the car from all directions and nabbed the accused.
The arrested people include Dungarpur resident Vikas s/o Kamal Chand Chawla, Majid s/o Mohammad Noor Khan, Prem Kumar s/o Banshilal Meghwal and Bhupalpura resident Rihan Khan alias Thakur s/o Hussain Khan.

Police has recovered 349 notes of Rs 100 denomination, 11 notes of Rs 2000 and 13 notes of Rs 500 from the accused.
Prime accused Vikas Chawla is a graduate and got involved in printing fake currency after failure in his business. Police is trying to investigate how much currency have they already circulated in the market and if there are any other people involved in the group.
