Bike thieves nabbed | 16 bikes recovered

In a major breakthrough, Hathipole police arrested three people in relation to bike thefts in the hospital premises. 16 motorcycles have been recovered from the arrested people.

In a major breakthrough, Hathipole police arrested three people in relation to bike thefts in the hospital premises. 16 motorcycles have been recovered from the arrested people.

One of the accused used to target bikes parked outside the emergency and outdoor units of hospital where sick and injured people used to park their vehicles. 12 bikes have been recovered from him. He had mortgaged two of these 12 bikes in his village for Rs 5000 each and rest were parked in his house compound.

The accused, Pintoo Singh is a resident of Khamnor (Rajsamand). He was arrested from the Hospital compound. Police received a tip-off from informer about Pintoo. Police intercepted Pintoo and asked for documents of the vehicle that he was driving. When he was unable to present the documents, vehicle’s owner and registration were verified from its chasis number. The vehicle was found to be one that was stolen from hospital premise. On further interrogation, Pintoo accepted to multiple thefts and 12 bikes were recovered from him.

In another nab, two other bike thieves were arrested by Hathipole police and four bikes recovered from them.
