A body of an 18-year-old girl was found with her throat slit at vacant debris near Rana Pratap Railway Station. The body was identified of Twinkle, a nursing student of Synergy Nursing College and a resident of Dungarpur.

Twinkle used to live at her maternal uncle’s place in Kanpur, Udaipur. She was in Dungarpur for holidays and arrived in Udaipur on Sunday but never reached home. Her phone was also stolen 1.5 months back so she could not even be contacted.

Prima facie it appeared that the murder was over an alleged love affair, according to the police. While investigating the crime scene, it appeared that the victim knew the accused that’s why she willingly came at the debris near the railway crossing.

The college staff told the police that she was an introvert who stayed aloof in college and did not have close friends there. The report of postmortem will come on Tuesday which will help in the investigation of the murder further.
