A letter threatening blasting off bombs at certain railway stations (including Udaipur) in Rajasthan, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh is giving sleepless nights to security personnel.
A letter threatening blasting off bombs at certain railway stations (including Udaipur) in Rajasthan, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh is giving sleepless nights to security personnel.
The letter addressed to Station Superintendent of Jaipur was received on 29-September. The letter threatened to carry out bomb blast on 20-Oct at railway stations in Jaipur, Bikaner, Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, Chittorgarh, Udaipur, Jodhpur in Rajasthan and select places in MP and Gujarat.
The letter also threatened to carry out blasts in temples and cinema halls on 9-November in Rajasthan, Gujarat and MP.
The letter writer claimed to be a part of Lashkar-e-Taiba and that the letter was written at Rawalpindi, Pakistan.

While, the letter is being seen to have sent by some notorious person and not necessarily coming from the terrorist organisation, but the security agencies are not treating this lightly. The agencies plan to ramp up the security and vigilance at all these stations and CCTV footage are being looked at closely for any suspicious activities.
