Income Tax department has initiated a survey at 3-4 jewellers/bullion trader in Udaipur today. Jewellers have been under the I-T scanner post demonetisation and I-T teams have raided jewellery shops in major cities all over the country.

The sudden raid on 3-4 jewellers simultaneously has thrown the entire jewellery market in a state of shock. The survey started today and was going on at the time of publishing this article.

Preliminary details are not yet available on whether any inconsistency has been found as the surveyors were still conducting their investigation and no details have been divulged.
