Police has so far made 9 arrests in the shameful case that happened yesterday in Khurd village in Chirwa where a couple was made to walk naked through the village and their video shot and made viral on social media. The arrested people include two women in form of a mother-daughter duo.

The couple were paraded naked by the victim lady’s first husband, Taru Gameti, his brother Harish Gameti and uncle Lalu Gameti. The victim lady alleged that Lalu Gameti’s wife ripped off her clothes while she pleaded for mercy. Role of Lalu Gameti’s daughter has also surfaced in the case. The victim lady said that she pleaded mercy from the other ladies and hoped they would understand being women themselves. But there was no mercy and the the victim lady and her lover were stripped, tied to rope and made to walk naked in the village at night.

Police arrested Harish and Lalu Gameti last night itself. The two ladies were also arrested today along with 3 friend of Taru who had filmed the entire scene and made it viral on social media.

The arrested lady, wife of Lalu Gameti, however was filled with no repentence. She said tthat the victim had already married thrice and was a bad influence on their society. She wanted to make a case out of her to ensure that no one in their village does anything similar in future.
