In yet another incident of theft, a house at Gandhi Chowk in Ambamata Police Station area was targeted. The thieves managed to take away Rs 90,000 cash and 5 Tola Gold and Silver ornaments.

As per the information received, Mohammad Altaf had gone to Ahmedabad with his family to drop off his brother on Thursday evening. When the family returned today morning, they were taken aback to see the locks in the inner rooms broken and the almirah opened and clothes and other items scattered.

Interestingly, the thieves only targeted the room wherein the gold and cash was kept. This points to the role of an insider in the theft.

Ambamata Police reached the house and is currently investigating the theft.
