Another chain snatching incident has been reported in the city today and this time the snatcher crossed his limits by physically assaulting the woman victim, dropped her on ground and ran away after snatching a gold chain from her.The victim, Archana Mishra, wife of Sumit Mishra, a resident of New Ahinsa Puri, Fatehpura was physically assaulted and robbed when she was passing through an isolated road close to her house at around 1pm in the afternoon. According to sources, a man about 25-30 years of age came on motorcycle and stopped archana while she was passing through a small isolated lane near Ahinsapuri. As she stopped the snatcher suddenly attacked her and made her fall to ground. He snatched a gold chain from her before fleeing away from the scene. Archana has received minor injuries but the mental shock she got is more severe than physical pain. When asked to ADSP Tejraj Singh about what measure police is doing to stop these frequent chain snatching incidents, he replied, “We are taking required steps to nab the culprits” Soon after the incident, Ambamata Police of Udaipur has launched the manhunt by putting barricades on entry/exit points of the city but the culprit is still at large. Surprisingly, even after dozens of chain snatching incidents that had taken place in the city in the past 2 months, no productive results have been achieved either by Police, Administration or any NGO or Political parties or even by local media. Due to this absolute un-responding and irresponsible behavior by all of us, the daring meter of chain snatchers are raising every day. The Citizens of Udaipur Please Wake Up!!!
