Chain snatchers were back in action today morning. A 69-year old lady was targeted when she was returning after visiting a temple in the morning.

The victim, Saraswati Mehta, was returning from her visit to the Jain temple situated at Shakti Nagar. As she was walking on the footpath, two people came on a Pulsar motorcycle. They parked their motorcycle at some distance, came running towards her, grabbed her gold chain and fled away after pushing her down.

The victim has lodged a complaint at Bhupalpura police station. She mentioned that the gold chain weighed 2.5 Tola. The two miscreants had their face covered with cloth and hence she could not see them.

Saraswati said that the duo fled the scene before she could compose herself and shout for help after being pushed down.
