The torment of chain snatchers continued in Udaipur. Two incidences of chain snatching were reported yesterday from New Keshav Nagar and Gangaur Ghat areas. The first incidence happened in the evening around 6 pm. Pushpa, resident of Bhoiwada had gone to watch the Ganguar proceedings at Gangaur Ghat. Taking advantage of the crowded space, snatchers took away with chain. By the time Pushpa realised her chain had been snatched, there was no trace of any suspicous individual around. The lady has lodged an FIR in the police station. In another incident, Anuradha (w/o Neeraj Sharma) was returing after picking up vegetables at 8:30pm at her place in New Keshav Nagar (falling under Surajpole Police Station). She was coming back with her two kids when two bikers came and sped off after snatching her chain. A large crowd gathered around the area but the bikers had sped off before anyone could get any clue. Police had installed various checkpoints in the city but is yet to get any trace.
