Masked snatchers used a car this time to carry out their operation in the morning when they twitched a gold chain worth 20 gms from an old lady in the Bhopalpura area of the city.

This has happened for the first time that the accused have used a four wheeler instead of a motorbike to carry out the operation.

Ullas Devi could not understand the trap and she busied herself in telling about the answer. While this drama was going on another person from the group grabbed the chain from her neck. By the time she cried for help the accused had fled away in the already ready white car.

The event was reported to the police but even after barricading the police is clueless about the offenders and the white car used by them.

One more case of chain snatching has been reported from the Hospital compound.
