In an incident nearly resembling chain snatching, an unknown person victimized Chandra Kala, age 38 yrs, wife of Ramesh Porwal, a native of Ogna, at Badgaon in Udaipur. The incident occurred at their Badgaon residence, when a utensil cleaner turned up at the house of their neighbors, and Chandra Kala handed over her jewelry to the cleaner for cleaning them up.  The cleaner actually managed to “cleanly” swipe a gold chain weighing around 22 grams from the lot and fled the scene. The Ambamata Police has registered a case of theft and fraud against the unknown “cleaner” and the search is on for the culprit.
