Tuesday morning proved to be quite a shock for an old lady whose gold chain was snatched by a miscreant while she was relaxing with her granddaughter outside her own house.

The woman informed police that she was taking a stroll along with her little granddaughter in the morning hours on the road. Later she stopped to relax and sat down in front of her own house. 

At that time, a youth came and tried to fondle the little girl. The woman asked the youth to move away from the child and at that very instant he snatched the gold chain in her neck and ran.

The gold chain weighed around 3 tolas. The woman shouted for help and by the time the family members rushed outside, the miscreant had escaped. When police searched through the CCTV footage, they saw that there were 2 others with this youth. They were waiting on a bike for this youth to return. They had probably done a good recce of the area and then managed to escape.
