Coach from Ladji Chess Academy, Praveen Kothari has been arrested. He was accused of molesting a minor girl last month in May.

Praveen Kothari was arrested by Udaimandir police. A zero number FIR was sent to Jodhpur police in the case of molestation of an 11 year old girl of Udaipur. It may be noted that an eleven year old girl had accused chess coach Praveen Kothari of molestation while she was in Ummed Club, Jodhpur. Her mother had filed a zero FIR in Bhopalpura police station in the month of May.

As per the report, the chess coach had taken the girls to Jodhpur for participating in a tournament. All boarding arrangements were done in Ummed Club but the coach took them to a different place on the alibi of no proper arrangement for girls. He touched the little girl inappropriately a number of times while she was asleep. He kept touching her despite her objections. Later the little girl narrated the incident to her mother after returning home.

The chess coach even threatened the girl’s family to keep quiet about the incident. Udaimandir police station had begun their investigations based on the complaint. On Thursday, Praveen Kothari surrendered before the court following which he was arrested by police.

Reportedly, Praveen Kothari had applied for anticipatory bail. His wife represented him before the court on 29^th May. Justice Manoj Kumar Garg denied anticipatory bail to Praveen Kothari.
