Child labour has become quite common issue in India and people are heartless enough to use children to serve as a medium for filling their own pockets. 13 children were rescued from 2 buses on Friday night.

2 private buses hauling 13 children to Gujarat to work as child labour were stopped at Balicha crossing. Police received information about these 2 private buses that had left from Gogunda. Pratapnagar police and Goverdhan Vilas police came into quick action and stopped the buses at the crossing.

The private travels bus of Rajguru travels had 10 boys and 1 girl and that of Anjani travels had 2 boys. These children were being taken to Junagarh, Rajkot and Surat in Gujarat to work in restaurants and hostels. The youngest boy in the bus was aged 13 years. The children told police that they were being sent to Gujarat to work on a salary of 8000 rupees per month.

Child labour is a crime and the agents involved in this crime are merely interested in making money no matter what. Children from villages seem to be very good catch as the parents are not able to earn enough through field work or as labour on construction sites. They get easily tempted by the idea of their children making money and they do not understand that the tasks given to children are not meagre tasks. Children are also exploited this way. Children must get a good education at the right time and must not be involved in any kind of labour that is not for their age.
