“It is shameful to see such incidents occurring with news reporters”, says District Collector, Hemant Gera who has asked the videos of Saturday nights controversial pool side party ‘Aqua’, where a few journalists were allegedly attacked by party organizers and bouncers.

Condemning the attack, the press reporters have also alleged indecency and obscenity at the party hosted at Hotel Royal Retreat. More than 200 youth turned up to join the glamorous party, which had entrance tickets starting from Rs. 1,500 to Rs. 15,000.

The case will be investigated by Additional Deputy Magistrate (City) Mohammad Yaseen Khan Pathan. However, Inspector General T.C Damor said that he will look the matter in his own accord.

T.C. Damor said that there are reports of a few policemen who were present at the spot but their inability in controlling the situation is creating a dilemma.

“Why no necessary actions were taken by policemen there? We will try to find out the matter,” said the I.G. in his conversation with the media personnel.

All senior journalists were present in the meeting with the Collector, I.G and ADM (City), Udaipur.
