College Student Kidnapped, blood stained car found in Kota

After more than a week of his abduction, there is no information about Shekhar Panchal (23), a student of Pacific College Udaipur and his kidnappers. However, Udaipur Police has claimed to get some key evidences related to the kidnapping and has also arrested three suspects including a woman from Kota.

However, Udaipur Police has claimed to get some key evidences related to the kidnapping and has also arrested three suspects including a woman from Kota.

Shekhar who is pursuing his bachelor’s degree from Pacific College has been found missing since December 31, 2011. His kidnapping was confirmed when his family received a ransom call on 4th January.

According to media reports, Police is zeroing on a prime suspect identified as Pradeep Singh Bhati who belongs to Kota. It is also alleged that a known person called Shekhar on 31st Dec for evening walk and since then he has gone missing.

It is reported that on 4th Jan. an abductor who described himself Kallu Khan called Shekhar’s mother and demanded Rs.1 crore and 5 kg gold.

Shekhar Panchal s/o Rakesh Panchal hails from Dungarpur and was staying in a rented room at Bohra Ganesh ji area. Shekhar’s father works in a jewelry shop at Kuwait.

According to the news published in the local newspaper, Police have found a car with blood stains on it from Kota, police have not ruled out the possibility of victim being eliminated by the kidnappers.

Some youths have been detained from Kota who is believed to be close associates of Pradeep Singh Bhati. Police have also raided Bhati’s house in Kota but nothing was found.

Bhati is believed to be well known to Shekhar and is going through a massive financial debt which could lead him to commit the crime.
