6 people are arrested and sent on 2 days remand for robbing the employee of Sahkari Upbhokta Bhandar (Cooperative Store) for Rs 2.46 lakhs on Monday 6th February. Out of six arrested yesterday on 9th feb, three are college students.

College students, Vivek Shrimali, Manish Vaid and Hussain Sheikh with other three people Nitin Sharma, Harshvardhan alias Goldy and Karansingh Devda have robbed Prakash Chandra Sharma near Sevashram circle after hitting his scooter with car.

According to Dinesh Rohadriya, SHO Hiran Magri Police Station, “We were doubtful that some known person to the victim played the main role in the robbery and while interrogating the staff of Sahkari Upbhokta we nabbed Nitin who was aware of big cash to be transfered by Sharma on 6th Feb.”

Later, the group divided into two, one in a car and the other used motorcycle to commit the crime. First, Vivek and Hussain knocked Sharma by car, as soon as he fell down; the other three, Nitin, Manish and Karan Singh looted the cash from the scooter and ran away on bike.

According to police, Vivek was pressurized by Harshvardhan to pay Rs.25, 000 to Sanjay who was demanding the money to increase Vivek’s number in exam.

This led all three of them to join in with other three and did the crime.
