Himanshu Bagdi, a student of Commerce college today attempted suicide in Dean’s office after being suspended yesterday. He was one of the seven students who were suspended yesterday after a dirty fight broke out between two girl students yesterday. Himanshu protested that he was wrongly framed in the case and attempted suicide by pouring kerosene on himself.
Yesterday, a fight broke out between two girl students belonging to different student political alignments at Commerce College. As per media sources, accomplices of one of the girl student allegedly slapped the other girl and tore off her clothes. The matter got escalated to college administration and police was called on the occasion. College administration then took action and suspended 7 students, including Himanshu.
Pleading innocence, Himanshu walked into Dean’s office today morning. He said that he was framed in the manner and demanded revocation of the suspension. When the matter was not resolved, Himanshu threatened suicide and poured kerosene on himself for self-immolation. Thankfully, people around caught hold of Himanshu and prevented any untoward happening.
Bhupalpura C.I. Chandmal reached the spot and initiated interrogation.
