A complaint was lodged by a Bohra lady in court against State Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria’s close relative and a ward councillor alleging harassment and obscenity.

As per information received, the lady said that on 4-Oct she was going on her moped with her daughter. Along the way councillor Atul Chandaliya, proprietor of Savaria dairy Rajendra Singh, Tushar Mehra, Kamlesh Nai and Raju Nai came on a motorcycle and chased her on Dewali road and started abusing her. At this the lady, rushed to her husband’s shop. The accused then followed her to the shop.

The lady accused that when her husband came out, they manhandled him and grabbed the lady’s hand. They took her inside the shop and indulged in obscene behavior. When they raised an alarm, a crowd gathered there and in the interim, the accused fled the scene.

The lady further said that when they reached Fatehpura station, they were asked to go away. They then reached Ambamata Police station. The accused Chandaliya and some others also reached the place and indulged in abusive language in the police station. Post this, the lady’s husband was arrested by police in case of breach of law and order. While this was happening, some people even ransacked the shop of lady’s husband.

Turned down by Police, the lady knocked on Court’s door and filed a complaint therein.

Netrapal Singh, SHO, Ambamata Police Station, said that allegations of harassment filed by lady are false and it was a only case of vehicular accident. They have lodged a case and are carrying out investigation.
