A couple allegedly committed suicide by consuming toxic substance in a hotel Monika at Sukher area of Udaipur on Sunday. Bharat Singh Solanki and Nisha (changed name) were found dead in the room no. 103 of Hotel Monika of Sukher area of the city in Sunday by police located in front of the local police station after it was called by hotel staff after the couple did not came out of the room for the whole day.

Bharat Singh Solanki was a resident of Pali district where as the girl hails from Semari Tehsil of Udaipur, they both checked in in the hotel on 29th October and were about the leave the hotel on Sunday.

No suicide note has been recovered but prima facie to appears to be a case of suicide, the dead bodies of the deceased were shifted to Mortuary and their relatives were informed about the mishap with the help of their mobile phone, the postmortem will be conducted once they will reach Udaipur, however the investigation of the matter is still on,said Deputy Sp Swati Sharma.

The initial investigation revealed that both the victims were missing from their residents from last 20 days,Sharma added.
