MLSU Law College Launches Cyber Fraud Training for Senior Citizens & Women

Experts at MLSU's Law College, Udaipur, will guide participants on how cyber criminals trap victims and what steps to take to avoid fraud

Udaipur, Jan 15, 2026 - The Law College of Mohanlal Sukhadia University (MLSU) has taken a unique initiative to provide special training to senior citizens and women to help them combat cyber fraud. This is because of the rapidly rising threat of cybercrime in the city. More and more cases are coming to light where senior citizens and women, in particular, have been placed under "digital arrests" by cyber criminals.

As part of the programme, senior citizens will first be registered, after which training sessions will be conducted in a phased manner. Experts will explain how cyber criminals trap people through phone calls, fake links, KYC update messages, impersonating bank officials or by creating fear of family emergencies. The training will also focus on what immediate steps should be taken in such situations and what precautions are necessary to stay safe.

The objective of this initiative is not only to provide technical knowledge to senior citizens but also to strengthen them mentally, so they do not make wrong decisions under fear or pressure.
