Shyam Keswani, a renowned lawyer of Mumbai who also fought the case for underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, will be fighting the case on behalf of illegal drug (Mandrax) manufacturing and storing scam accused Subhash Dudhani. Readers might recall that Subhash Dudhani was the mastermind behind the alleged Rs 5000 Cr illegal drug manufacturing scam in Udaipur.

Shyam Keswani has already reached Udaipur to fight the case on behalf of Dudhani. As per media reports, Keswani’s involvement in the case has strengthened the earlier held views of Dudhani’s connection with Dawood Ibrahim.

Keswani was present with his client Dudhani when the latter was presented at the house of district magistrate on Sunday after the completion of his remand period. District magistrate had asked him to be moved to judicial custody post which he was sent to the jail.

DRI is currently interrogating the various players involved in this including chemical supplier Atul Mhatre, factory owner Parmeshwar Vyas besides Dudhani. The idea is to question them all together and find out the group linkages with global drug dealers (including Dawood Ibrahim).

Keswani declined to comment on the status of the case. He called the case slightly grave and said that he would want to wait for the DRI chargesheet before making any statements.
